The Musical Extravaganza Captures
Branson’s Popular Appeal ...
The Musical Extravaganza, a Branson-style show right in the heart of Mississippi, is scheduled for June 2, in Ridgeland.
This semi-annual event boasts an array of Mississippi talent, including: CandyLee Dobbs, a multi-talented vocalist from Brandon, Andrew Ishee, a Las Vegas-style pianist from Laurel, Daniel Roebuck, a Doc Severinsen-style trumpet player from Oxford, MS, David Holmes, drummer, from Brandon, MS, Bill Clark, a singer and pianist from the Jackson area, and outstanding "Special Guests".
Now in its 10th plus year, the Extravaganza moved from the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum to Christ Life Church and now to the comfortable theater style auditorium at Highland Colony Baptist Church, 1200 Highland Colony Blvd., in Ridgeland in 2022.
Because of the larger facility we are only doing shows at 2:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased by calling 601-750-2364 or by clicking here.
“This show is the brainchild of a trip I took to Branson several years ago,” said Bill Clark, show producer. “I enjoyed the variety of entertainment offered there and wanted to provide Mississippians a Branson experience right here at home.”
The support for the Extravaganza continues to grow each year. Hundreds of individuals and dozens of church groups and organizations from various parts of the state attended both the Spring and Christmas show in 2019.
“There’s a little something for everyone. “If it’s true that laughter is the best medicine, then you’ll get a mega dose by attending this highly entertaining and fun-filled show. You’ll be blown away by the fantastic talent you can find right here in the hospitality state of Mississippi.
